Thank you for shopping at Carlo’s Plant Farm.
We work hard to ensure your plants arrive healthy, fresh, and ready to thrive.
Please review our shipping policy below to understand how your orders are handled, packed, and delivered.
1. Order Processing Time
All orders are processed within 2–5 business days.
During peak seasons or due to weather restrictions, processing times may be slightly longer.
You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed and is ready for shipment.
2. Shipping Methods & Rates
Free First-Class Shipping (Uninsured)
We offer free USPS First-Class shipping on most orders. Please note:
- First-Class shipping is uninsured
- Delivery typically takes 2–5 business days
- USPS does not guarantee delivery dates for First-Class mail
If you prefer added security, please contact us before ordering to request paid insured shipping.
3. Risk & Responsibility
Once USPS Scans the Package, They Are Responsible
We carefully hand-deliver all packages to USPS in good condition.
Once a shipping label is scanned and the package is marked “In Transit,” USPS assumes all risk of loss or damage.
This includes:
- Delays
- Lost packages
- Weather-related damage
- Mishandling during transit
We are not responsible for issues that occur after USPS accepts the package.
4. Live Plant Shipping Conditions
Because we ship live plants, special care is taken to ensure the best possible arrival:
- Plants are packed securely to prevent movement or soil spillage
- Heat packs or insulation may be used during extreme weather
- Orders may be held temporarily if temperatures are unsafe for shipping
Our priority is protecting your plants from weather-related stress or freeze damage.
5. Shipping Restrictions
We currently ship within the United States only.
Some states may have agricultural restrictions on certain plant varieties. If your order includes a restricted plant, we will notify you immediately.
6. Tracking Your Order
Once your package ships, you will receive a tracking number via email.
Please allow up to 24 hours for USPS to update the tracking status.
If tracking shows “Delivered” but the package is missing, please contact your local post office first — they can often locate it faster than we can.
7. Damaged or Unhealthy Plants Upon Arrival
If your plant arrives damaged upon delivery, please contact us within 48 hours with clear photos of:
- The plant
- The packaging
- The shipping label
We will evaluate the situation and offer a replacement or store credit under our Happy Gardener Guarantee.
Please note:
We cannot replace plants damaged due to USPS delays, mishandling, or extreme heat/cold during extended transit.
8. Incorrect Address Policy
If you enter an incorrect or incomplete shipping address:
- We are not responsible for lost packages
- Refunds are not issued for orders shipped to incorrect customer-provided addresses
Please double-check your address before completing your order.
9. Weather Delays
We may hold your order temporarily if weather conditions (freezing or extreme heat) pose a threat to live plant survival.
You will be notified if a shipment delay is required for your plant’s safety.
